The Catholic Student Association (or Newman Club) is a group where students and young adults can form friendships, pray together, learn more about their Christian faith, and challenge and support one another to live out their faith. We are eager to meet you. Our activities include weekly meetings for prayer, sharing and discussion, Mass, retreats, social service projects, bible studies, and fun events. All are welcome!
| We meet Fridays at 6:30pm |
We gather weekly at our new Newman Center on Fridays in St. Michael Church. The Newman Center entrance is located on the NW corner (5th and Mill). St. Michael Parish, the designated Catholic Church for the PSU Community, is located on the corner of SW 4th and Mill.
The Newman Club is named after the late John Cardinal Henry Newman who started a Catholic student movement at University of Oxford in the 19th Century. Later, Newman was chosen to be the great patron of campus ministers in our country and Catholic Campus Ministry programs at state universities were created in his namesake.
